The dearly departed Osborne said something to Olivia before he went to that great sunset that I think will play out in the next season.

She is important because she is the gatekeeper of important people.  He had a file on her because of who she represented.  The powerful people of the world whose secrets she guarded carefully as she fixed their problems. And Olivia threatened back to him she has people that are above his pay grade that could handle him with just a call.

So that black file.   Olivia being exposed isn’t just a personal crisis, or a mere mistress being exposed, it is literally a threat to the entirety of the Republic.  

Why?  Because she holds the secrets of numerous congressmen, senators, judges, and a President in her little head.   And being exposed, put out there, means that they don’t just dig about her but they dig about her clients.  Who works there?  Who has she helped?   Why did she help them?   

That little black file is probably her nuclear option.  So when shit hits the fan that little black file opens all of its secrets.

This is a very dangerous game.  

I can not wait to find out all the dirt and secrets are contained within the two folders Liv gave to Harrison! These folders will definitely come into play in season 3 and within the plot line of Liv getting out of her own mistress scandal.

exactly. i said the other day that those folders would come into play next season, particularly the black one. i do wonder if Liv knows things that her father doesn’t know, or if he’s been keeping close tabs on all of her cases.

another question: Tom referred Fitz to Jake. so is Tom involved somehow? or was it just a coincidence. i would love to see Tom have a greater role but i was hoping he could be more of a friend to Fitz, not a foe.

I don’t know if Tom is involved or Fitz said something about Jake and Tom went with it.  

And I am still really curious about how Fitz and Jake know each other and Operation Remington.   Because Jake obviously was either recruited  or volunteered for B6-13 probably right after that but seems to have a bit more freedom than the other agents.   Rowan, remember, gets his talent from the military (that’s how he found Huck and probably how he found Jake).  So was he involved with Fitz’s mission?  Does Rowan know Fitz and that is the reason he is so invested in him?  I wouldn’t be surprised if he followed him.

see, that makes me worry that Fitz is indeed some kind of Manchurian candidate, as if Jake and Fitz were both possible presidential candidates and Fitz was chosen because of his legacy (Big Jerry) and his malleability. how was it that he ended up with Cyrus as his right hand? was Verna involved in B613 too? tey never explained how she found Becky. i really don’t want to see the writers/Shonda go this route, but it would explain Jake’s “he gets to have everything I want first” line. ugh, i hope not lol.

I hope not too.  But it would explain why Rowan is weary of Fitz and Olivia getting together because he didn’t want his work to go down the drain.

And Jake seemed like he was someone with ambitions just as lofty as Fitz only to find himself after that mission thrown in with B6-13.   Maybe both of them were candidates for B6-13 but like you said, because of who Fitz’s father was and his potential he wasn’t picked which lead to resentment on Jake’s part.

We do know that Cy hooked up with Fitz during his run for Governor so probably much later in is political career.   The real question is how does Cy know both Olivia and Rowan but not know they are related?

it probably goes back to the No Families clause in B613. i doubt anyone knows that Rowan has a daughter. if they did, they could use her to get to him; though i’m not sure they actually could. he’s a cold piece, lol. so Cy probably doesn’t know.

Which makes me wonder if Liv’s mother still lives.  I have a feeling she doesn’t and that feeds into her sense of abandonment.

If that is the case then Fitz and Liv have a shitload in common.  Both of their fathers’ are assholes and both of their mothers’ went to an early grave because of it.

I just have a feeling we haven’t reach the tip of the iceburg in terms of the fuckedupness of Liv’s childhood.  Not with a father like Rowan.
